Wow. I’m 66 years old and woefully ignorant and uncool about Dungeons and Dragons, but I really enjoyed this. I loved the sound effects, thought Shannon’s writing and announcing were beautiful and very NPR, and was swept into the whole tone and fun of the broadcast. Mostly, though, I loved the banter, closeness, cleverness and laughter between mother and daughter. You two are so delightful, and I fervently wish I had a daughter of my own to listen with me.
Aw Cathy, it means a lot to me that you had a listen! I would describe DnD as like a choose-your-own-adventure where you rely on a roll of the dice to decide your fate (and keep Shannon on her toes when I do something she hadn’t planned for, hehe).
